Hailing from the heart of Hamilton, Ontario, The MLC (The Midnight Lumber Company) is a pop rock trio with deep roots and a fresh sound. The band is made up of lifelong friends: John-Paul Pasinato (acoustic guitar & lead vocals), Bill Dunlop (bass guitar & lead guitar), and Brad Granatier (drums). Though their friendship goes back to childhood, it wasn’t until 2023 that they finally brought their musical chemistry to the stage.
The MLC crafts a dynamic blend of pop rock originals and “interpreted covers”—unique takes on songs that blur the line between the cover and reinvention. Their music is driven by John-Paul’s heartfelt vocals and acoustic rhythms, Bill’s melodic bass and sharp lead guitar, and Brad’s energetic, groove-heavy drumming. Together, they channel the spirit of Hamilton’s working-class creativity, delivering songs that are both catchy and sincere.
